Asia Pacific Fund is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The investment objective is long-term capital appreciation through investment primarily in equity securities of companies in the Asia Pacific countries. At least 80% of assets will be invested in securities traded on Asian markets, securities that derive the majority of their revenue from Asian markets, ADRs of Asian securities, and securities and investment companies that invest in Asian markets. The fund will invest primarily in Hong Kong, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand. There are no allocation restrictions upon investments among the countries.
